I can see being a decent play ...maybe...but some people are getting carried away.

he has ball security issues and pass blocking issues

he was 1st rounder that got demoted to nearly 4th string and is only in the position that he's in because of injury, not earning it.

dude has 41 carries

2 of those went for 92 yards(against New Orleans and Cleveland run defs), the 39 others went for only 119 yards.

temper expectations

He lost 1 fumble in the first game of the season so that translates to ball security issues?

He earned playing time by his special teams play and injury to RBs on front of him. If he wasn't good enough they would be bringing in someone else to carry the rock. He showed enough last week to be a viable option.

Dude is going to be the starting RB for an extremely potent offense. You could also say that with so few carries that his legs are fresh.

I don't think he should be started over a stud RB, but he just came off of a 3 TD game with over 300 all purpose yards. If Bradshaw sits, he has very little competition for carries. While you temper expectations, you could miss out on a big day (potentially).

Match up wise, it doesn't get much better than Atlanta. They are either last or damn near close to last in fantasy rush defense. If Bradshaw is out, Wilson will probably carry the ball between 15-25 times, plus he's a huge threat in the passing game. He's really talented in open space.

At VT or in the NFL? I don't recall seeing or hearing of any pass blocking issues with the Giants, and although he fumbled a lot at VT, I'm not sure that one fumble on his first carry is an indictment of his ball security in the NFL.

I liked Wilson a lot coming out of college. I picked him up in the later rounds as my fourth RB, hoping he'd have the type of season Martin/Morris had. That fumble, along with the emergence of Andre Brown in the middle of the season, really hurt Wilson. He could have been a 700 yard rusher without that fumble, IMO.
