And can I use it to make a small batch, say to feed 6-10 people?

There may be a later version than this, but this is what is linked in the recipe thread.

The calculator isn't as useful for small batches. I'll look for a link in a second, but here is my ingredient list for what I cook at home. Its right around 8 servings so would probably be a decent amount for what you're looking for. Its an adaptation to the jambalaya calculator and I'm sure others would have opinions on how to make it better, but I like how it turns out, and I keep it pretty simple with the measurements.

At least 2 lbs of meat. I do sausage and either chicken or cut up pieces of boston butt.
Seasonings and oil for browning of the meat
1 bell pepper
1 med yellow onion
1 med white onion
About half a head/bunch of celery
1/2 tbsp of garlic powder
1 bunch of green onions
1/2 tsp of white pepper
1/2 tsp of black pepper
1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp of salt
4 cups water or broth
2 cups rice

GL

ETA: these are just "measurements". As I said, its an adaptation of the calculator so I follow the same general cooking steps found in the calculator.
