They will just get another Air Raid OC. TTU fans really are dedicated to that play style.

Jerry Don Gray (born December 16, 1962) is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the defensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League.

Gray played college football at the University of Texas at Austin, where he garnered All-American honors. Thereafter, he played professionally for the Los Angeles Rams, Houston Oilers, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL.

Well, it is not that random. Gray grew up in Lubbock.

He has been an NFL defensive coordinator for many years, and he should be able to recruit in Texas.

He has been very involved in Lubbock, funding a foundation to benefit the low income residents of East Lubbock.

Still.....fans would be very upset if Gray is hired. Boy wonder Kingsbury is the favorite of the TT Nation.

I live in the midst of em, so it would be entertaining to watch the melt down if Gray is hired over Kingsbury.

TT interviewed KK, chad Morris, and gray yesterday. Looks lke top candidate is Morris, followed by KK, then gray.

Not by the fans. They are convinced KK is the guy.

'Course, fans don't do the hiring.

KK would be a pretty stupid hire IMO. He was a GA four years ago, has one year as an actual assistant at a competitive tier I school and no relevant HC experience. He's a good coach but that's a huge gamble.

the chicken or the egg. Was it Sumlins system, or the offensive coordinator that made a heisman winner, or was it the player that made them both look good? It's too early to take a flyer on KK.

as was discussed yesterday on another thread. See Curly Hallman.
