I realize McCarron was considered a Heisman contender for part of the season and that was a reach imho. Having said that, it continually amazes me how McCarron is completely dismissed as any sort of factor at all when people (especially opposing fanbases) are scouting the team. I hear the same thing from every fanbase and now I'm hearing it from Notre Dame fans. Apparently if ND can slow the Bama running game at all, ND wins going away. Gholson is apparently now a Joe Montana that should have little trouble shredding the Alabama defense while all McCarron can do is hand the ball off. How does a quarterback that threw for almost 2,700 yards and completed just under 70% of his passes and has a passer efficiency rating of 173 constantly get overlooked?

he's ken dorsey 2.0.... solid player but nothing special... his NFL career might be better than greg mcelroy's, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Because he's just alright IMO. It's pretty easy to PA off one of the best run games in the entire league

I know it's fun to troll but that's just a silly thing to say. McCarron has WAY WAY better measurables than both McCelroy and John Parker Wison. He's improved tremendously the last year and if he continues his rate of improvement he could be a 1st round pick in the 2014 draft according to Todd McShay.

He threw one pick on a perfect pass that went through the receivers hands and the other one the guy jumped the route and made a great play at the goal line. He only had 1 other pick the entire year.
