Wow, that was bad. The beginning was interesting, little bit of acoustic sound.. then he opened his mouth.

Pretty Meh. If you like Blink 182, it's alright. If you're not a fan already, it probably won't convert you.

That's because most people whoa aren't fans, view blink as punk kids during their Enema of the State days.
This is 15 years later...

I actually thought their single from 2011, "Up All Night" was pretty decent. But this is painful to listen to.

Man I am the biggest Blink 182 defender out there but I am not feeling this song at all.
I have liked just about everything they have done up to this point (including all of the self titled CD and 75% of Neighborhoods) but this is straight up pop radio sounding.
Travis' drums sound like they are just electronic drums created on a keyboard. I'm still holding out hope for the rest of the album though.

I just feel like the overall quality of this song is so much better than anything that was on Neighborhoods.
It's so much more cohesive, if that makes sense. The break-up/awkward reunion is finally a thing of the past.

I cannot decide if I like it or not.

Love it!
Very very good.
Emotional song especially if you lost someone around the holidays and Blink nails it like always. Reminds me a bit of Adams Song only Christmas directed.
Great stuff.

I agree. Tom sounds more like he did for Angels and Airwaves which I like but Mark just doesn't sound right. Mark should have never quit smoking, his voice was better when he smoked.

I actually think he found a happy medium between his "whiny blink voice" and his "yodeling AVA voice". Best he has sounded in quite some time.

I think we can all agree that Boxcar Racer was the pinnacle of Blink's career.

I didnt think that was bad at all.

From Mark's AltPress interview:
quote:
So the EP is called Dogs Eating Dogs. What can you actually tell me about the songs?
I can tell you there’s a song called “Dog Eating Dogs.” There’s a song called “Disaster,” but that might change. There’s a song called “The Day After Christmas” [now called “Boxing Day” –ed.] and it’s this folky, acoustic-guitar thing. It’s different than anything Blink have ever done. Travis played on this electronic drum kit behind it, so it’s got this real kind of indie, strange, cool vibe to it. It’s catchy and it makes you want to dance. “Dog Eating Dogs” is very punk rock [with] aggressive guitars. Tom wrote a song called “I Got My Eye On You” that’s about his wife; it’s a love song. [The EP is] kind of all over the place, but we're always like that.
