| Louisiana In-State Basketball (Posted on 12/9/12 at 11:40 am)
There is a lot of solid basketball going on in Louisiana right now.
LSU: 5-0 to start the season. Hickey being suspended is going to hurt. Big time win over Seton Hall. After facing Chatanooga at home, they go on a tough three game road stretch at Boise, Irvine, and Marquette.
LA Tech: 8-2 to start the season. A&M beat them up pretty badly. Young, talented squad who lost a close battle to Northwesten State. Rebounded last night with a nice win over Southern Miss
Tulane: 7-3 to start the season. Got thumped by Georgia Tech but went on to win 7 of their next 8 games. Lost a close one to San Diego and Nebraska.
Northwestern State: 4-3 to start the season but dont let their record fool you. Their three losses are to LSU, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M. They were within four of LSU with two minutes remaining and led Oklahoma by two with two minutes remaining. Dont sleep on the Demons they could easily make a run through the Southland.
This is a year where we could see multiple Louisiana teams participating in march madness, its still early but its nice to see success like this in La.
