Word is, Brown does not get HC with Southern Miss, he is heading to UK. Add Bradley Dale Peveto part of the staff (LSU fans should remember him)...With DJ Eliot as DC, let the recruiting connections begin!

I just read Darin Hinshaw to coach WR as well.

ETA: And then I read he will not. Who knows?

Brown just interviewed yesterday for the La Tech job. He is reportedly still in the running at Ark State. And now Texas Tech.

Not sure he is ready to commit to Ky as OC.

Hinshaw is slaw as a position coach. CP did not learn how to run routes all year and Hunter regressed from where he was under Baggett. Was even worse as a QB coach.

He is a pretty good recruiter though, the key will be adding Brandon Staley, who is a currently a defensive GA for us.

If they are together you are guaranteed to lockdown Hutch.

Yeah but I don't think they are going to hire an OC, and not one from Tubbs' staff. But I could be wrong.

He is being considered for SoMiss and LaTech, but from what is being said on UK pay sites. He isn't a front runner for either job, of course that could change.

The only reason I think Brown is coming is Stoops hiring a WR coach. I don't think he would do that without the OC's approval.

I think a lot of people don't realize he's from Danville and played at Kentucky.

That said, from everything I've heard/read he's holding out to see if he gets the Southern Miss job. If he doesn't then he's in Lexington.

It might be a bit premature to announce Brown as OC, but at this point I think that is who they have targeted or we could have seen another name by now.

It's being reported now by the guy who broke Tuberville to Cincy that Brown will be our OC.

Saw that. John Clay echoed on his blog. Sounds good to me. Stoops assembling a great staff.

Hinshaw is back in play for VOLS and will most likely be retained if Tee turns it down.

Neil going back to Kentucky doesn't make sense to me?

You think that's a lateral move from Texas Tech OC to Kentucky OC?

On the other hand, I can see Neil getting passed over as a HC because he is still young. Don't get me wrong this would be an outstanding coup for Kentucky.
