DC: Brian VanGorder (Auburn DC)
DL: Steve Stripling (Cincinnati DL coach and interim HC)
LB: John Jancek (Cincinnati DC and LB Coach)
Secondary: Willie Martinez (Auburn Secondary)

ETA: and now we get to argue with UT fans about what horror they just brought upon themselves like the Barn and Oklahoma before them

1/4 Willie is a terrible DC and secondary coach. If you think "3rd and Chavis" is bad, wait and see 1/4 Willie install his "bend but not break" prevent D. If you thought UT's secondary was bad this year, just wait until WM coaches up your players.

He did damn well at UGA, but you have to remember who was on his defense. With the likes of David Pollack, Odell Thurman, Thomas Davis, Quentin Moses, etc. who couldn't coach that defense? His next two jobs (Atlanta and Auburn) his defense wasn't that great. He seems to have lost his touch.

You can't judge BVG off of last year. He can't scheme against the spread. That's for sure.

When AU hired Van Gorder, I have to admit, I thought it was a really good hire. But they sucked so hard this year, it really makes me wonder. Who knows - maybe Chizik didn't give him full control of the Defense. Or maybe he sucks now. I dunno.
I'd be more worried about Senor Score than BVG though, honestly. Your opponent could run an all-midget WR corps and get absolutely torched. Fact.
