WSJ says GM inventory is at 170 days. Normal is 60 days. GM not doing well at selling their crap.

I know of a case here in Northern Virginia where someone murdered a co-worker on the job. He was promptly arrested and of course fired from his job, but his union actually filed a grievance.

Won't make much of a difference. The union is like a cancer as well as like the Obama kool aid drinkers. You can't fix stupid. You may have 15-20 non union members in those plants once they go right to work. Louisiana is a right to work state and I have seen first hand what those retards spew and try and pull
The plant here (that just shut down in August ) was made up of mainly transfers from other plants that shut down due to not being productive. The UAW puts out a monthly news letter in the plant. These usually read like a democratic presidential commercial trashing GM and how bad corporate is, how they are over worked and underpaid blah blah blah. Funniest part is on the back cover, it says 2000 members strong, 20 non members. Under that, it spells out every non Non member name, their team, their work location, and shift. I knew of a few hourly guys that hated the union but paid the 40 bucks a month to avoid being fricked with. Actually had to run "committeemen" off due to them harassing line workers that refused to join the union. One committeeman actually told a temp in front of me that he owes it to them since they are the ones who got him that job as well as the pay.
Drinking was always a problem. Lunch horn went off and people literally ran full sprint to the parking lot to down a few beers. He'll, I have seen guys in the pit drinking the entire night and could barley talk at shifts end. Here is the kicker. As a manager, I could see you impaired, smell it on you and couldn't not do a damn thing until you had an accident. If and when you had one, you were sent to rehab because you needed help, paid for and your salary was paid while you were there also

If drinking on clock instead of working then yes they should be fired

They were on break but I don't know of one job that allows you to drink on your lunch break, especially if you're dealing with machinery
