Whoa, slow your roll there double d. My generation didn't steal from an entire future generation. Based on that, I could successfully argue that the previous generations completely lacked any sense of morality. As for the OP, morals are relative. It's no better or worse than its ever been.

Not following, what is the connection you are drawing between morality and insanity?

The answer to the question will provide as a pretty good litmus test to see if people are insane

Morals are natural law. Natural law doesn't change.

No it won't. I think your thesis is crappy. Does your litmus test indicate I am insane or sane?

My generation didn't enslave anyone. Didn't intern the Japanese. Didn't perpetuate Jim Crow. Didn't steal from future generations to take care of itself. My generation is pro freedom and anti war. Can you say the same, double d?

That would suggest all societies at all times have had the same morality, that's "insane".

You will never get through to them, they are nostalgic for a time that did not exist, we all are. Difference is, some people recognize it.

Who ever said that those societies didn't go against natural law in some respects?

Can you cite some of these improvements in morality.... and are we dealing with all human history, or recent history? Further, are you talking about the entire world, or certain nations?

Fair points.

You voted for Ogump. Then you voted to give him a second term after he made W look like a deficit hawk. You're even more guilty than the baby boomers on that measure.

pro freedom
Really? You oppose Ogumpcare? You oppose nanny state laws? You support lower taxes and greater consumer choice? You're fighting against ethanol mandates and proposals to remotely set people's thermostats? You oppose the contraception mandate?
quote:
anti war
I don't see a lot of outrage over the drone strikes or "kinetic military action". And if you were truly antiwar, you would have voted overwhelmingly for Gary Johnson or Jill Stein instead of drinking the Ogump Kool-Aid.

Yes because everyone knows the true litmus test for insanity is if people agree with your position or not.

Morality is interlinked with sexual mores. A recent example would be the movie I watched on TCM yesterday. It was a silent movie from 1922 produced in Germany. The Loves of Pharoah Today we are still biologically primitive. If someone 'disrespects you' you kill them. Twas always thus.

I don't mean that the "time" didn't exist, because obviously it did. What doesn't exist, is your perception of what "happened", such will always be flawed. For a great number of reason (you should look into it, very interesting stuff). Flash bulb memories, etc. Specifically speaking to morals, the perception is everything. At a young age (relatively speaking here) you value the morals that you were taught, and that you had absorbed, are always going to hold higher standing than the ones you learn later, unless you are able to remove that specific bias.

Scruffy: How can you say your generations didn't steal from future generations when Obama has put this country farther into debt than any other generation? How can you say that when Obama has nationalized healthcare and the tax burdon will be placed on future generations. As a matter if fact, Obama is not only stealing from future generations but also from the present and past generations that you are accusing from stealing from us. You also say that our generation is against war and is for peace? How can you say that when Obama has his drone army and is assassinating people he deems as terrorists, including Americans. He is also supplying he Muslim brotherhood with the arms they need to fight Isreal. To answer your question, OUR generation has gone to the shitter. Most people our age don't know how to work and earn something. They just believe they are entitled to it. Our generations loves to hold their hands out and take from those they feels owe them something. Our generation rides the back of the generations before us and it will soon fall apart around us. Your arrogance and those like you is sickening. You have no brains, no balls and no backbone. You are a hypocrite of the highest level as you expect people to believe you just because you say it. You have no structure to your arguments other than saying, " bc I said so" or " you are a racist " or some smartass comment that makes no sense other than to your other like minded ppl.
