Thinking about buying a camper. I have a Chevy with 5.3 to pull it with. Don't need Anything huge or fancy, something that will sleep about 6-8 people. I'm looking at a toy hauler because I own a fourwheeler. What does the OB have to say?

You need to get familiar with the different layouts. You may buy one only to find out it's not what you want/need.
For instance, our first 5th wheel was a rear living. Fine for a couple. Terrible for kids. We had no idea. Now have a bunkhouse and are way happier.
You'll see rear living, rear kitchen, bunkhouses and maybe other variations.
I have pulled two different 5th wheels with that 5.3 Chevy with no issues. I just stay under 27' and pin weight under 1300 lbs.

Thanks for the opinion.  good to know what size I can tow. That was my main concern. The only thing different, that Im not looking for a 5th wheel.

try to stay under 7000 lbs if you can. i had a 32' bumper pull 6400lbs dry and pulled with a surburban 5.3 on flat ground i would'nt try that in hills.

I have a 28 ft Grey wolf bumper pull with one slide.I had a Chevy 1500 4x4 with the 5.3 when I got it.It will pull it fine with the WD hitch installed.The gas mileage sucked though.Just keep that in mind.Go to Berryland and look.They have more campers than you can look at.

4 wheeler in the bed and load up the stuff you would normally put in the bed in the camper. IIRC, the toy haulers are a good bit more expensive than regular ones
