Why does Manti Te'o deserve the consideration for the heisman? He's stats are ok(interceptions are pretty good)Is it because he's on "Gods Team" OR that ESPN is constantly promoting him for the Notre Dame fanbase? I just dont see how he fits in to the heisman race. He is by no stretch the most outstanding player in college football.

Best player on the #1 team + 7 ints

SEC fans downplay the interception total like its normal. But how many college linebackers have had 7 ints? I would think its quite rare

It will be a damn shame if JFF doesn't run away with it.

It's a individual award not a team award.

It didn't matter that Baylor had 3 loses last year. It shouldn't matter ND is undefeated this year

He's tfl's and sack are horrible for the best linebacker on the best team

You also have yo ask how a middle lb got 7 picks either he's physic or out of position a whole lot of the time

All I want is a legitimate argument.

The number 1 player on the #1 team plus 7ints just isn't enough to be considered the best player in CFB

I agree and not just because i'm an Aggie fan Manti is a good lb not a great lb and would only play in situational defenses in the SEC

JFF should clearly win it. Anyone else gets it is a fricking sham. That said, just looked at the season stats... only LSU held JFF to 0 passing TDs and 0 rushing TDs

MORAL VICTORY

I've also heard alot that you cant use stats to describe how good of a player he is.
Biggest horse shite I've ever heard

Every Heisman winner since I have been following CFB has that signature play/highlight that stands out in my head from their season.

For Te'o advocates - what would you submit as the signature play/highlight from the 2012 season that symbolizes his season?

Kevin Minter has more sacks on back to back plays against Florida than this joke has in his whole season.

Is there anything you can say that can give his Heisman campaign some legitimacy?

You think those two stats are not horrible? How are they not anything more than pathetic if you want to liken him to a legitimate Heisman candidate?

He has ONE AND A HALF sacks on the year. That's fricking awful for any linebacker that has played 12 games this year.
