First Still from Ender's Game Movie!

I have to say...exactly as I pictured it. The Battle School at least. I know Ender in the pic is too old, but you want a good actor for live action.
Are you pumped?
Q1: Who are the other kids?
Q2: What toon is that?
A: Launchies?

As a fun add-on, this is what I said in another thread about how I would do Ender's Game:

Next we close in tight on him and we see him slowly adjust himself and turn around to face the camera We see his eyes go wide. We then see a panoramic shot of a battle that is taking place in the wide open space. (crescendo)

yeah that still is fricking perfect for that scene. probably the easiest one to do though. excited for other pictures.

Haha. Very true, except for Ender getting facetime with Graff in the bunkroom with Ender. I thought most of his contact with him happened before he went to school?

Not sure though. Its a new scene since there isn't a moment in the book where Graff confronts Ender in the barracks. The only "adult" who enters the launchies' barracks is Dap.
I'm very excited about this movie since it is probably my favorite book. I'm also very worried because they could very easily screw it up.
The kids being older doesn't bother me. You can't find a competent actor at 6 years old anyway.

Read the article in the bar below the meet the cast article. There's an interview with the director and it sounds like he's doing his best to do the book justice.

exactly. i dont see this as a problem. i actually fricking hate that they are so young in the book. "let's let this 9 and 7 year old save the world" kinda bothered me actually.

yeah i get that it's the whole point and all that shite, it just bothered me when i thought about it. which is basically never so it isnt an actual issue.

You also had Bernard and Shen (the "butt wiggler"). Shen may be one of the two on the left. As for Bernard, if this is early on, remember that he has a cast on his broken arm. We can't see him in that shot. This may be after he got it off though. He might be the tall one.
As for the chicks, no clue. The only two major female characters are Petra and Valentine. They made Major Anderson a female in the movie. They never did say whether Anderson was male or female in the book.

I read it Summer of 2010. That was my fourth time, I think. I can't recall info like that.

Never read the books & don't know anything about this movie...but I get a Hunger Games vibe from that image in the OP .
