no need to whine. everyone knows what's up w the BCS--it's obsolete.
We have one of the best games of the bowl season, and are playing the no. 1 rival of an SEC team.
A lot of folks seem to forget what the BCS consists of this season, rendering the BCS utterly meaningless:
5-loss Wisconsin
Northern Illinois, who played precisely one normally serious team (and lost to them)--Iowa (who is not going to a bowl at all!)
Louisville, who wasn't even ranked, in the second-to-last BCS rankings of season and lost to syracuse and uconn.

I like our opponent . Clemson is good football IMO. Will be fun. Who gives a squat what bowl. Anything less than NC is just a football game. Wait till next year

When they started making the BCS basically an everyone gets a trophy system, it became pointless.

The matchup is one of the best this bowl season will have being it's two top 14 teams playing. OU and KST will be good on paper but those who like to see two solid 10-2 teams play in two BCS conf. will enjoy this game. A bowl is a bowl so lets GEAUX TIGERS.

I am an Alabama fan living in Auburn. I plan on going to Atlanta and watching the game with my son (who goes to Auburn) and is an Auburn fan. We will both cheer for LSU. It will be a good game!
Regardless of the bowl situation, there is not another team that has the prestige and creates a fear factor in the opponents that LSU has except for Alabama.
To another team it would be a privilege and opportunity to play LSU.
