Ok, not there yet. Hopefully Kim spread the word-my buddy that manages there wants to get more diverse selections into their rotation, especially some good craft beers. It's not lost on him how quickly the kegs of Pumpkinator keep getting drained. He's rolling out a few tonight, and wants some input from our krewe for other offerings they might be able to get. I enjoy the Avenue Pub, but hate having to travel to New Orleans for good beers on tap. The Cove is stepping up, the new bar should add to our choices, and Pat wants to keep the traffic flowing through the Bulldog. Here is what he said they will have this evening:

"Hey...roll outs for Tuesday are as follows:

Mikeller Sort Gul Black IPA
97 on rate beer

Harviestoun Engine Oil Reserve

Trou Du Diable La Buteuse Strong Ale
99 on rate beer
-This brewery is supposed to make Dieu du Ciel brewery look bad. We have 3 other brews from trou du Diable that will go on when we have some more room."

sorry i wont be able to attend.

imo, bulldog needs to step their ipa game up. i was in there last month and they had zero drinkable ipas.

it was better the last time we all met up there a few weeks ago though.

I won't be able to make it either---got Christmas tree duty after work.

It is good to see Bulldog trying to step up their game. Like rutiger said, the selection seemed a bit better the last time we were there.

Bad planning. Doing that in the rain=no fun. I took care of that chore yesterday.

What did you think? I thought it was alright, but I grew tired of it.

LL, it's one of the guys that was at Port for a long while. I'm guessing we have met irl at some point. Either that or we've been in the same bars and restaurants a lot.

Ouch! Damn the truth hurts!

You and me need to hoist beers again soon. Been too long.

FBD: Old Engine Oil. Aptly named, based on appearance. Some kind of light after taste I can't place.

FBD is a Firestone Walker Union Jack. Citrusy hops. Not a huge aroma, but the flavor is there. The hops let you know they're there on the back end. Well done.
