I can't give you specific reasons why, but most here will tell your neither.

Seems like many people like Sennheiser or other brands.

I'm an ear-buds kind of guy though - Klipsch Image s4 ftw.

My 13 y/o son has Beats cause they're "cool".

Check out these instead.

Bose. But I bought a pair of Nclusive from JcPenny for 18 dollars and love them.

Sennheiser HD25-1 ii

These are the headphones live sports casters use because of their noise cancelation abilities. Much better than beats for quality, but no omg cool headphones bro factor.

Anyone have any opinions on skullcandy headphones? The cassette model looks pretty sleek but worried about sound quality

very happy with Audio-Technica ATH-M50
https://reviews.cnet.com/best-headphones/

at sub $125 they compete with twice the price models
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004ZG9TMA

not a must but I highly recommend a headphone inline amp, especially if using off your phone

cheaper available, i got this one-

FiiO E11

I use these. Absolutely love them. I also have the B&W earbuds which expand to fit in your ear and do not come out accidentally.
