Hippo was worried about dishonest hobbit excitement. I told him hat was genuine though.

Excitement here.

If all the negahobbits out there can say is:

"Oh wah, boo hoo, I got to go to a screening with technology that only 5% of people will see, and it was slightly jarring, being so new and all..."

Then I am pumped.

Ever since its cool to flame anything and everything they have come out the woodworks. I'm glad they weren't around during the LOTR era.

I don't understand a thread full of people hating on a movie that has yet to come out. You know what your getting with this. A Peter Jackson directed Tolkien book. If you didn't like LOTR then you're not going to like this. If you loved LOTR then you're probably going to love this.

My reasoning isn't all that sound bc I hate on a lot of movies before they come out if I don't like the director, but, you know what I mean.

Good memories.

Riddles in the Dark was a tour de force by Freeman and Serkis. They acted the hell out of it, and it was fantastic. As others have said, the Oscars need to institute a new award, for best CGI character. In a film that relies so heavily on CGI, when it really counted, PJ fell back on good old theatre technique for scenes like this to give performances that were intimate, rehearsed and honed to perfection.

It was an excellent film and I can’t wait to go again
