also look who is the top dog at the NCAA office. our boy Mark.
Oh, I know. Let's not overlook the 2010 NCAA Baseball playoffs. LSU and Alabama made it to the SEC Tournament Championship and LSU beat the Gumps. We were also defending National Champs. Where did the gumps go? The Atlanta regional. Where did LSU go? Freaking Los Angeles.
Even though they claim that they try to keep the teams close to their fan base, LSU ended up in L.A. No reward at all.
frick THE SEC!!!

I wouldn't care at this point if LSU would apply to join another conference.

I'm hoping for things much worse than what got me banned last year to happen to the gumps.

I put the penalty comparison between LSU and Alabama in an internet T-test to see if it was statistically significant. My p vaule was 0.076, just greater than the traditional 0.05 to determine difference. I havent done this calculation in years maybe I'm off if anyone would like to check my work.
If my p vaule is correct, I still think that it is a pretty impressive difference bt the two schools.

I've always wanted some statistics nerds to really take an analytical look at this. If I were a statistics professor at LSU, this would be the project I assign to my students.
That being said, I would guess that if you broadened your data set by comparing the # of penalties for every SEC game over the last 10 seasons rather than the average penalties per season you'd reach statistical significance (so you're not limiting yourself to such a small set of data like 10, you'd have like 80 SEC games..if you catch my drift)
Still that p value is noteworthy and pretty much proves the inherent bias in officiating towards Alabama.

Well, you're welcome, I did what I could.
Good thought, i agree that statistical significance would be reach by comparing all the individual games.
I dont have the time for that shite though.

me neither bro. That's why I think a statistics professor at lsu should step up to the plate and make his students do it. I just want to see the results, not do the work.

Well, this is an SEC, I mean gump, tradition. =

Single digit in the fewest penalties column-geez, coincides with their success. Must be part of that process thing $abin always refers to. Wonder where that was when he was LSU's coach? Surely it has nothing to do with what school he's at?
It's a fricking shame. And we have a eunuch for an AD that's too busy selling windows, weak OOC home games and crappy arse bowl games to defend us.

ey samson why dont you go look at the parking lot at 2201 Richard Arrington Blvd and tell me if they are biased towards the Big A. It looks like a bama tailgate party with all the flags and license plates. I know bc I work at the Regions Center a few blocks away hoss

Turn the tables and put the SEC office in New orleans and load up the top brass with the LSU alums. the gumps would scream until their 3 teeth would fall out.
Please stop by and get some pics. They must be in all their glory today.

All kidding aside, that would make an interesting photo...a shot of the SEC offices with vehicles adorned with BAMA gear with the SEC signage somewhere in frame.
Is there some huge conspiracy? Probably not. But to anyone BAMA fan suggesting there is no bias, I'd suggest firing everyone and moving the offices to Metairie and then attempt to still hold that belief...

Cheating and stealing is a Bama tradition. Never will change that. DIAF Bama....

Two penalties against UA in the LSU game, and we declined one for punt reasons, ie, better field positions and it was for to much time on the UA offense in which Saban told his qb to do. Seems fair to me, but I'm blind so I didn't get to see the game, so my observations are only about what I hear, not see.

Bama bias is real. Only Bama cannot win thier division and play for a Natty and media actually acknowledge nothing wrong with this. Florida should play ND this year using this logic with 5 wins over the BCS top 12 to Bama's 2 wins over the top 12. Only Bama can field the entire SEC office with graduates, i.e. head of referrees and head Scheduling official. The Head scheduling official gets to screw everyone else in the conference with Bama's annual walk through the SEC East playing KY, Vandy, etc... I hate the cheating bastards, but you have to take it for what its worth. They win, but cheat the system doing it. It's fits their character traits perfectly.
These reasons are also why LSU fans need to back off Les. Saban would not be half the coach he's viewed as if he didn't get special treatment from officials, the schedule, or getting an undeserved rematch.
