It is constant. We whine about everything. Can we ever be happy? Its done, so there is not point in complaining. We ought to be talking about the season, how LSU can improve over the bowl practices, who is coming back, Clemson and how we match up, etc.

I guess we will get to that eventually after we get all of this griping out of our systems. But, honestly, who cares what bowl we go to? They are all meaningless. I care WAY more about matchups than about which bowl game we are in. As long as it is a good game against a quality opponent and it is on TV, I could care less what bowl game it is.

Are we talking about prestige? Who cares? Who sets that? ESPN? They are clueless anyway.

If LSU destroys Clemson the way they are capable of, everything else will take care of itself. Then, we pull a top 5 recruiting class, return 36 of 44 on the 2-deep, and roll into next season with a top 3 ranking and a primetime game against TCU in Dallas.

It's all good. Enjoy life. We are fine.

Oh people are talking about the season alright....about how we sucked in half of the games...didn't win with style points most of the time, how we need a new OC. I refuse to let these people suck the joy out of a season of LSU football for me.

I know. Everything is bad all the time.

If LSU doesn't score a touchdown on every play, we are horrible and people need to be fired.

I wonder if people are just personally miserable and it all gets projected on the football team. Sad, really.

There is a lot to be excited about. 34-5 the past 3 years so far. Next year, the team is going to be scary. Things did not fall right this year, but that happens. We caught about every bad break we could and still won 10 games. I expect better things next year, but I refuse to see this season as a waste.

Isn't this the norm for LSU fans? I wouldn't expect any less.

What we are witnessing is the College Football Fan getting gouged more and more and getting terrible seats. The Stub Hubs of the world are getting all the best tickets. And our conference keeps hosing us with our schedule. Enough is enough!!!

I think I speak for most, especially season ticket holders like me, that is simply frustration since we had high expectations then lost so many players to attrition, injury, Mett's slow development, then sloppy play at times (AU, Towsen, OM, Ark), the loss at UF, the close L to gumps, and now reallity of a non- BCS or New Years Day Bowl; while through all this won 10 which is great but still the human nature of dissapoinment from above. The game will be a fine match-up more then some BCS games and the real Tigers will prevail! I will be cheering on and anticipate another bright season 2013!

I am. The only thing I don't like is the Gumps getting to the BCS game again. I hate those bastards!

CFA Bowl is pretty good. Honestly, the Capital One sucks arse, other than getting to see Mickey Mouse with the fam.

To me, the best non-BCS bowls for LSU (as a fan) are Cotton (now that they have Jerry World and it isn't at 10am) and CFA.

Quit putting everyone else down that doesn't agree with you just so you can pat yourself on the back and call yourself "A#1 LSU fan". All fanbases have people that bitch...all fanbases have fans that are assholes. The state of Louisiana doesn't have a monopoly on douche fans.

I'm a generally positive guy, but we are getting raped by the SEC here, and it's been the routine for the past 20 years. I'm sick of it. Whenever LSU is in a "tie", we routinely get sent to the worst bowl possible.

Expectations have to be tempered with reality as a season progresses. They can't remain fixed no matter what happens or they simply blind one to worthy achievement. imo

As to the whine/grip stuff, I don't mind that from posters as long as they are willing to give out congrats as well.

Problem comes in when alllllllll they do is piss and moan bout one thing or the other. That might be their right, but it gets damn old.

I like your post. Every morning I check to see what is going on here on the Rant and for the last few weeks it has been painful.
A minority of fans has turned this finest of college sites into a whine fest. I can't stand a lot of Bama fans, and can't root for Bama, but some of them have it right about part of our fanbase. They can't be satisfied and are always so easy to poke fun at. Get a life people. We are living in a Golden Era of Tiger football and is the current coaching staff's record doesn't impress you, I'm afraid no one will make you happy. So go Tigers! I will be watching a good bowl game on NYE and pulling for the best team in the land, the LSU Fightin' Tigers!

I totally agree LSUSaint! It is a board to say whatever we want (with some decorum enforced) about how we feel about LSU sports, in particular football. I am and always will be a Tiger fan. I don't like everything we do or everything Miles does or Alleva does. However, if I don't like what's going on, the Rant gives me a voice vs. just throwing stuff at the TV and screaming at it! No matter what, I still support my Tigers. I just want to have high expectations for my Tigers.
