NIU is up 16 in the Coaches' Poll with UCLA a few back at 19. Nebraska got dumped down to 23.

If the Harris Poll is similar, NIU is going to be dangerously close to #16. If so, the already messed-up bowl allocation process is going to get messier as Oklahoma would slip from the Fiesta to the Cotton.

For the longest time this game was a WVU vs Syracuse lock. Now with Pitt eligible, you may get it.

Yep sounds like even Brad Edwards has done the math and is coming up with NIU in the BCS.

As far was Washington-Boise goes, is that official? I always figured that game would take USC.

Cap1 looks like Nebraska v Georgia
Outback Michigan v S Carolina
Gator Northwestern v Miss St

quote:

Rittenberg/Bennett ?@ESPN_BigTen Cap One pick basically done: Georgia-Nebraska. Expect Michigan to Outback and Northwestern to Gator. B1G avoids Johnny Football

quote:

Rittenberg/Bennett ?@ESPN_BigTen Hearing the Big Ten, SEC leadership didn't want Nebraska and Georgia to fall too far after league title game losses.

quote:

RT @Mark_Schlabach: Now I'm hearing #UGA to Cap One vs #Nebraska; #LSU to Cotton; SC to Outback and A&M to Chick-fil-A & Miss St to Gator

Was nice when the leagues let the bowls make their own picks. It's clear the SEC office was busy wheeling and dealing all night.

They have already picked UW. Sounds like USC to the Sun Bowl. If Boise State doesn't get to a BCS game, then they will be in the bowl too. So not official, but basically official.

Aside from the speculation in the Twitterverse, people are keeping bids pretty close to the vest this year.

ETA: Rutgers to the Russell Athletic Bowl is official.
