It is the same incident. The intial age given was wrong. Still unsure if the newspaper is right about " non life threatening". I've never hoped i was wrong this much. I sure hope he is ok

Sad. A friend of mine die duck hunting. He was 14 years old and was hunting with his uncle. They were picking up decoys and some birds came in and the uncle told him to stay down, which he didn't. fricking a-hole!

UNLOAD your gun when picking up!

I just hope this kid is alright.

Prayers for him, his family, and friends.

Just let this be a lesson to everyone. Teach your kids the right way. Accidents do and will happen but minimize the damage.

Will never understand how stuff like this happens. Hunt shoulder to shoulder and it would be next to impossible.

I knew a guy who took his boss duck hunting on foster lake about 15 years ago. His boss swung to far and blew his head off. Sad sad

Knew three that were shot, two died. ONe had his head blown off by his grandfather while duck hunting, the other was killed on the lease I used to hunt on occasionally. Terrible stuff, safe handling of a firearm is serious business.
