| I thought O was serious about debt? (Posted on 12/1/12 at 7:17 am)
I mean, he claimed he would cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term, then he stood up there during the election and claimed he was going to handle it if he got 4 more years... Tell me if I'm off with these assumptions Current Proposal 1.6T in New Taxes over 10yrs 50B in New Stimulus Spending 400B in savings (Maybe somewhere down the road) Permanent hike in the debt ceiling So next year: 160B (New Taxes) - 50B (Stimulus) = 110B Savings That wouldn't offset the increase in spending to the already failing social programs I wouldn't put Obama in charge of running my lemonade stand, yet a decent sized business

We're just changong directions. Heading for a higher cliff more slowly. $15 trillion isn't near high enough. We need to get to more than that before driving off is unthinkable. Of course it gets harder to make a u-turn then as well, but that won't be Obama's problem. And unfortunately history probably won't hold him accountable either. Why should he worry? He has had published two autobiographies that are full of lies and misrepresentations, yet he is given a pass by those who made an issue out of Mitt Romney's alleged behavior in high school.

America won't be better off until a generation or two of exceptionalists and bigots die off.

Posted by EthanL America won't be better off until a generation or two of exceptionalists and bigots die off. You serious with this? So when these people die off what happens? How do these people keep our government spending money in such an absurd fashion?

debt will not be reduced until spending is drastically reduced....why cant they see that spending cuts id the only solution...higher taxes do not put people to work...but why would politicians cut spending? They wont, if they get to decide where the money gets spent on, they have the power. Our politicians are not patriots, just businessmen looking after their business, on our backs. Time for a revolution!!!!

I'm just wondering if the Solyndra folks thought up another useless business and need some money. I'm sure at least some of that 50 billion will go to it.

I agree. Those statist libs of the dem party who think they are so much better and smarter than everyone else and hate everyone who doesn't think like them need to hurry up and die.

Sonny, If it wasn't for 235 years of exceptionalists in this country, the economy would not be able to borrow enough to GIVE you young ungreatful bastards ANY toys. I will laugh at you young bastards suffer as you wallow in the debt the current bastard in chief is creating. Fortunately for me, I hope to be dead long before the shite hits the fan.... with this give-away-to the lazy-asses spending that is going on now....

Someday the American people will realize who they elect to office (at all levels) will actually matter to how the country is ran.

We have nothing on a recent past that suggests the people will realize anything or than their personal goodies.

Obama will be remembered well. He is the a-hole that destroyed innovation and work ethic in our once great country.
