We can basically confirm that LSU is Cotton-bound if Alabama wins. If Georgia wins, it's unclear.

Nah frick that, I'm happy with this news. Had a change of heart in the past couple of days. The Cotton Bowl has seriously upgraded. Friday night to ourselves in one of the best venues in football against a marquee program like Texas? Hell yeah.

So wait.... Are we to pull for Bama now... I'm confused...

You can pull for whomever you like, it won't affect the outcome of the game.
An Alabama win will guarantee LSU takes a spot in the Cotton Bowl, and with Kent State losing tonight (thereby sending Oklahoma to the BCS), the likely opponent will be Texas. Personally, I'd love to see this game.
A Georgia win would most likely result in Alabama getting invited to the Cotton Bowl instead of LSU. This would put LSU in the Chik-Fil-A Bowl, where the likely opponent will be Clemson. This wouldn't be a bad game either.
Honestly, either way, LSU is set to take part in the marquee bowl game of whatever night it plays. Both games should be fun to watch. Hard to lose here from that perspective.

I would settle with Lsu going to independence bowl of it meant Bama losing.

I too would rather set my head on fire and run into a matchstick factory before pulling for Bama. However, if them winning puts us in the better bowl then so be it. There is always the possibility of ND beating them in the NCG.

That sucks! I'd prefer Cap One for selfish reasons since I live in Orlando, but since the VAST majority of LSU fans disagree I would probably one of a very small group of LSU fans there. and be way outnumbered again by big ten fans

Cotton and Chik-Fil-A games are both gonna rock. DWI

If they can't go to BCS I'd much rather have Cotton
Big time stage, traditional powerful opponent, on a night by itself, Texas recruiting ground, plus I got an in with the people who run the cotton bowl.
"backstage passes" and shite

Backstage passes are highly over-rated; the show's out in front of the stage. Haven't you seen those beer commercials? THEY CAN'T HEAR YOU SCREAM FROM BEHIND THE GLASS!!!

I don't care about screaming. I care about getting free food and booze and shite.
Suckas

Yeah, granted, the lil sandwiches w/ the crust cut off and the free beer IS pretty cool while waiting for the main act to start...

Can't do it. I will NOT pull for Bama no matter what, even if it means the title streak for the leaugue ends this year. We'll just start it again next year, but screw cheering for the Tide.

Where does Georgia go in this scenario?
Bama to the ship
Florida to Sugar?
Johnny Football to Cap One?
LSU to Cotton?
So Georgia goes from playing today for a spot in the national championship all the way down to the Chick-Fil-A if they lose? Wow.

Exactly correct, and I totally agree....I'd prefer Cotton over CFA by a hair, but i'm still rooting for Georgia.....I could get excited for either LSU-Texas Cotton or LSU-Clemson CFA.
