One of the most influential bands ever. They are the DIY ethic. Even REM worshipped them, and took most of their ethos from them.

And they rocked so f'n hard.

Currently listening to Pink World by Planet P Project. Awesome album and band that should have gotten more recognition, even if it was only a side project.

I am. Huge fan.

And, yes. I have it, as well as their covers one and their 2 disc, B-sides one.

All great stuff.

such a great band. Awesome live. And their children's stuff is cooler than hell. I know they are real successful, but they are such a great, great band.

I interviewed Mike Watt for KLSU when he and firehose were playing at the bayou.

He was playing castro in a movie and he came in the getup of castro. It was pretty cool.

My favorite band of the 80s, I think is severely over-rated is Spacemen 3. Also really big fan of spiritulized in the 90s. Its one of the few bands I have listened to consistently since college, the only other would be my bloody valentine.

I had to delete them from artist seek because 9/10 of the alerts were for the childrens channel. Not saying that stuff is bad, it's just not what I want to hear from them.

I dont recall anything as big as whisper to a scream, but maybe that's why he feels they are underrated if he enjoys them
