I love Reid, but he certainly didn't have his best year.

Congrats to him

this is like Ciron Black being the SEC's top lineman as a senior. there's a DL from USL still laughing at that.

That's the first thing that popped into my head when I saw this but hey he's a Tiger and always will be.

W/O looking at the list, You thought he'd make it over Te'O?

Minter's better than Mosely, but these things are half won the previous year. Minter just didn't have a good enough 2011 to get it this year.

Next year we're set up to have L'el Collins, possibly Mett, Possibly Jeremy Hill, and Minter if he stays. Sam and Mingo would be strong possibilities if they stayed.

Imagine where he'd be if he would've tackled someone this season.

Yeah it was Te'o, Jarvis Jone and CJ Mosley.

Can't really argue with that, although I wouldn't be surprised if Minter makes someone's list.

no, Te'o's the best LB and probably defensive player in the country.

but check Minter's stats vs. CJ Mosley's.

eta:

Minter - 111 tackles, 13.5 tfl, 3 sacks, 5 PBUs, 1 int

Mosley -92 tackles, 6 tfl, 4 sacks, 2 PBUs, 2 ints (1 for TD)

I expected Mosley to have less tackles but more "disruptive" stats (sacks, tfls, pass def stats), but that wasn't the case

His paa cover skills are bad, especially on backs in the flats. Alabams used him all night and others did the same.

He is a monster against the run!
