Let me be clear..I think Miles should be fired for even considering AR-Kansas as a money play against LSU....

Miles is a great human, a good man, a great recruiter and an average at best gameday coach....

tell me why I'm wrong on any of this?

agreed the PROGRAM is bigger than any head coach. If you put yourself ahead of that then bye bye in my eyes.

Look I understand everyones love fest with the man and what he has done over the past 8 years but I could name 8 HC across the country that could have done the same thing if not better ane you know that. PERIOD

Choctaw...first I always like your posts..

Lets assume the rumors are true that ARkansas offered Miles after Gundy and Patterson turned them down, then either

1. There was some interest shown by Miles in getting an offer

2. Miles did not turn them down because he wanted to leverage LSU for more money

What am I wrong on?

And why don't you name those 8 and let's see if there would be any chance of getting any of them. I'll even spot you Nick Saban, Urban Meyer.

Money has nothing to do with it, Arkansas is a destination job, those are hard to pass up when open.

So if another job offers you money and you consider it for a second, you should be fired? I wonder how many people on this board would have been fired in the past.

Schools don't just show up and offer you $5M a year without knowing that there is some interest from you...

Being the Head Coach of a major D1 school is not the same as being the manager at Piggly Wiggly...

vast, vast differences in the politics and expectations...

but I get your point....which is invalid...

I know it was a reach, but that's almost $2 million more then he makes now. Everyone would bat an eye at an extra $2 million.

All of this has to be a joke. LesMiles is not leaving LSU for Arkansas and you don't run off yearly 10 win coaches with two NC appearances and a victory over a six yr span

But they certainly offer 5 million to mediocre coaches...
