Best photo storage/organization software and online storage site?

Bought a Canon EOS T3. Next question, what's the best photo software for keeping everything organized. Also, what's the best online photo storage website to put photos up so friends & family can just go online and see them.

I really liked Kodak, but they were bought by Shutterfly. Don't like it as much. Maybe I just need to spend the time to figure it out. Seems to have issues sharing an individual album. Kodak was easier to me.

i'd like to know this too. now that i have a phone that wasnt built inside of covered wagons heading to oregon i'm questioning all the online stuff.

box, google drive, picasa, etc..is there a best solutoin here? they all have pros and cons. i'm not real keen on cloud storage anyway.

regarding shutterfly, they recently changed some stuff and deleted some old photobooks i created which they said at one time they'd never do.

goes to show you stuff you are promised wont change..chnges.

also, the last time i was on shutterfly, 'guests' or people i gave access to only could get to shitty low-res versions of my photos so i'm not sure if that's a good solution either.

i would say picasa/google just given their popularity and deep pockets and philosophy.

T3 or T3i?

Just wondering.

ETA:

None the less I like using iPhoto, LightRoom or Aperture if you have a Mac.

Online storage, FLckr is still okay but really love Google Drive.

You can take some sweet pics of the renovation. I have been watching you work.

Best organization and editing software for any photographer is Adobe Lightroom...and it ain't close.

You can download a free 30 day trial from Adobe's site. Probably want to do a little reading on how to effectively use it, but there's nowhere near the learning curve of Photoshop.

It's effectively everything a photographer would need to do in Photoshop that's packaged and rearranged in a system of sliders instead of fumbling through menus.

Really isn't.

Especially 4.2, it is awesome and someone can pay monthly without getting hit by $150 charges all at once.

T3. Looked all over the place and ended up getting it at walmart. Had comprble pricing to online and i had $300 in gift cards. I actually ended up getting a "door buster" deal that no one bought.

and on the renovation, that painting is killing me! well specifically chipping, caulking, and carpentry. Almost done, though!

better than picasa/google drive?

i ask b/c picasa is free and has always had lots of great features for managing photos plus the free online storage and integration with my phone is pretty damn sweet.

Purchase Aperture if you want something under $100 but if you want the best get yourself LightRoom 4.

You can do some pretty serious editing in LightRoom also, a little more than in Aperture.
