Well, talk about going for the brass ring right out of the gate. Names have been circulating all over the map since the Arkansas Razorbacks fired Bobby Petrino last Spring, following the fallout of his affair. The team hired John L Smith as the interim coach, but it was pretty much expected to be a one-year gig. They fired him after losing to LSU this past weekend, and the first person they have offered the job to is the head coach of the Tigers, Les Miles.
According to Sports by Brooks, Miles has been offered a deal that is reportedly 5-years and $27.5 million dollars.
Miles signed a deal back in 2011 to stay at LSU for seven additional seasons, after he was reportedly offered the Michigan job. His current deal pays him $3.75 million per season, plus incentives and bonuses. There are no additional details of the deal to take the job in Fayettville, but it is likely to include those as well. This deal would pay him almost at an average of $2 million more a year.
The way this should play out is that Miles and his people take this offer back to LSU and he receives a nice bump in pay. It makes almost zero sense for him to leave Baton Rouge with what he has going there. He has continued to mold the program as his own since taking over for Nick Saban in 2005. He has won 2 SEC Titles and 1 BCS Title, and another appearance in the BCS title game last year. The only reason he would head out of town, to what would be a step down at Arkansas, would be for a money grab.
While many names have been floated, such as Chris Petersen and Mike Gundy, this is the first name that has been attached to specific offer since the coaching rumors began.
We don’t expect the Mad Hatter to end up with the Hogs, but crazy stuff happens in the SEC.

I think Les has the class to atleast wait until after the bowl game is played. All of this is too soon to be true. Why would Les want to go to an offense like that anyway?

If MIles left for Ar-Kansas it would be a huge "frick you" the program and put us in a serious hole. I only say that because it would happen completely unexpected and I'm not sure LSU is prepared to go out and get a homerun hire at this time.
It's not happening anyway but it would be kinda funny. LSU would be pissed and Arkansas better hide their wife and kids...
