Ok, so whenever I fire up Civ V I am receiving the BSOD after about an hour or so of playtime. At first I figured it was one of the older sticks of RAM that I had and tried several configurations when I figured out that the older sticks were defaulting to 800mhz even though they were rated for 1066mhz so long story short I removed them and ran memtest and came up without errors. I then ran seatools disk check and that came up clean as well. Still got the BSOD afterwards, and the damn thing flashes so fast I don't get a good look at the error #s. Suggestions?

Also after an hour sounds like heat.

Temps stay in normal range and I've got a 800W power supply that hasn't been an issue.

Just because it is 800W doesn't mean it isn't going out.

What type of PSU?

I believe it is an enermax 800w. Is there a way to check for a faulty PSU?

What series? Those are nice PSUs now.

You could run stress tests to check voltage output. The easiest way is to purchase one of these.

You can pick one off of Amazon, NewEgg and TigerDirect for around 10bucks.

They have cheap Rosewill ones also. Order now and should have it here by Friday, you can test stuff out over the weekend.

Can jump on Skype or Vent to walk through it if needed.
