A 2011 is still in warranty. Bring it to the dealer and let them worry about it while you drive a loaner. Is it running like the engine is missing or not firing properly? We had a Trailblazer that did that after it was parked for a while. Turns out a mouse or squirrel had been living in the engine and bringing things inside of it.

I let them have it for 4 days but the light wasn't on. They "didn't find the skipping." That was a week or so ago. Taking it back today.

Take it to the dealership, it's no doubt under warranty; and NO ONE could possibly diagnose your problem without knowing what codes turned the light on.

Was the light on prior to taking it in, because the codes will be stored in history and be able to read regardless of whether the light is on or not at the time, unless someone has went in and physically cleared the codes from the computer's memory. Bottom line, if they can't properly diagnose the situation, find another dealer. Don't buy their bull shite of "there is no code"

Those are supposed to be pretty good cars, according to Consumer Reports. A friend of mine has a loaded V6 version. It's shocking fast for a family car, and the interior is a pretty brick color leather. Chevrolet screwed up with the 2013 design with no V6 option.

ESC light will sometimes come on when a tire peels out on wet pavement. Most likely though you have a bad wheel speed sensor. ESC= Electronic Stability Control

Would that also cause the "skipping" feel, would seem the transmission is messed up. Has 30k on it.

I think I've misread. Maybe you're talking about the traction control light? It actually comes on to indicate that a wheel has slipped. That is NOT a cause for concern, totally different than a diagnostic light. Like MJ said, it just indicates that a wheel has lost traction, and that the computer is trying to regain traction at that wheel. No biggie.

computer controlled power distribution to the wheels. If the computer thinks the wheels are slipping then it will take over throttle duties and transmission shift point duties. It's malfunctioning so as others have said, bring it in under warranty.
