No NC sucks, no BCS bowl sucks harder. So beating a team to show SEC/LSU dominance is all that we got left. So if we could blowout a common opponent like OU or Texas that would be nice. Maybe give TCU a little to think about for next year.

They all suck except maybe the Cotton. I can't believe people are excited about this.

We're all disappointed about no BCSCG and no BCS game.
That said, it is what it is. Most of LSU's bowl matchups, including CFA and outback, are some pretty solid matchups that would be easy to get excited for (LSU-Texas, LSU-OU, LSU-Clemson, LSU-Michigan, LSU-Nebraska)
If you can't get excited about those matchups, then I don't know what to tell you. We're not going to the BCSCG, and we have no one to blame but ourselves ... but any of those matchups are a nice consolation prize to cap off a solid LSU season and set ourselves up for a Top3 start to 2013.
