I have the black duratouch finish on mine. Really like the material but I scratched the stock and have no idea if its fixable.
Great shooting gun though!

Never handled an Xbolt but did they change it from the Abolt where you dont have to take the Safety off to work the bolt ?

Yes you can work the bolt with the safety on now.

i bought the 7mm-08 X-Bolt last season, love sooting it. The only con i can say is that the wood of the stock seems a little "soft" so it scratches easily, unlike my .270 A-bolt (although the A-bolt has a different finish which i thnik helps)

Only con is the placement of the mag release. Shot a deer last year while rested on box stand window. Recoil caused window to hit mag release making a follow up shot impossible. Also hunt with a guy who had his trigger guard shattered while shooting off the rack of his 4wheeler. Browning replaced it.

I love mine and would buy another in a minute.

I have one with the composite stock chambered in 300 WSM. I love mine. It will cloverleaf a 5 round grouping at 100 yards with Barnes 165 grn bullets.

Barely any aftermarket options. Kills it for me. I would get one otherwise

But for me and the typical hunter, its a great gun. It will not be a 1000 yard gun but it will be a great 300-400 yard gun while being beautiful and smooth.

I've only shot one. They're nice rifles, but I prefer the older A-bolt. I don't like the bolt release button. Fantastic idea, but I think I'd break it somehow.

I went into the Zeiss range over the Leupold. Check out Trijicon scopes. I have a 2.5-10x56mm with 30mm tube on mine. Scope was $830 I believe.

I forgot to post the ad this year just like I did last year but Dicks had a 25% off sale on cyber Monday. Last year they had a Swaro 4x12-50 with the mildot reticle for $1000. It was missing priced for a few hundred less than what it should have been, plus the 25% off and I had to buy it.

Clear and beautiful. I cannot say this about many things but I will gladly pay the extra for a Swaro in the future. I use it a month a year and it's worth every penny. I am looking to put one on my AR but I want a 1x4 and they don't make one.
