No one has been signed yet. That's the key.

No one has signed, but in theory A&M can sign 31 this year, if 6 of them enroll early. That's due to their small signing class last year. However, 31 guys can't sign in February and enroll in August.

We can actually take 35 as we have room for 10 EEs. Four of our 19 last season were EEs.

how could you possibly fit 35 recruits under the 85 cap?

I just looked at this last night and think we can fit in about 38 under the 85 man cap. We had a lot of attrition with the coaching change. I think we'll probably take 34-35 and grab a few transfers again honestly.

It doesn't matter if they were EEs, it only matters which initial limit they were counted in. Did they count toward 2011 or 2012?

ETA: I worded that poorly. They have to be EEs, so that does matter. But they aren't automatically counted back just because they are an EE.

yeah, they were counted towards 2011 but thought it was too boring to go back and count that class etc. We have room for 10 EEs

I dunno man, if I were the Aggies I would stick around 30 and try to take more next season - the recruiting momentum y'all have built up should carry over more into next season, and Texas is stacked with recruits next year.

We want aTm to take 35. It will hurt you in the next several years...trying to stay under 85. We want you guys to have ~15 available spots for 14... and that's where you're headed.

I hear what both of you are saying but we are incredibly thin right now which is really our biggest problem. If you watch our 2nd team defense it has gotten lit up every time.

Also, the last spots are not going to be filled by warm bodies. We are looking at Savi, Mitchell, Manning, RSJ, and Makensie Alexander (and probably only have room for 3 of them). We're going to end up taking 6-7 Jucos I think so it's going to spread the classes around some as well. But I am worried that the 2014 class which has potential to be sick, is going to be rather small bc of this.
