I don't get it. At all. A&M played 3 ranked teams - Alabama, LSU, and Florida.
In those 3 games:
Record: 1-2 (not good for a Heisman frontrunner)
TDs: 2
INTs: 3
That's very poor overall in the biggest moments.
His team finished 3rd in his division, and 6th in the conference.
He put up his good numbers against garbage teams -
South Carolina State - garbage
Southern Methodist - garbage
Arkansas - pretty much garbage
Auburn - 
Sam Houston State - garbage
Mizzou - little boy football
I'm just not impressed since the Heisman tends to go to guys who have played their best in the biggest games.

It's not a good year. Agreed on that point. But I'd vote both Te'o and Klein ahead of Manziel. Klein has only 1 blemish on his resume. His stats are great and his team had a better season.
Te'o's team has a perfect record, and he played his best games in the biggest games - Michigan, Stanford, Oklahoma, and USC. His defensive stats are better than Woodson's when he won the Heisman. The only difference is Woodson's punt return at the end of the year.

Outside of a high # of INT's, Teo doesnt really stand out. And ND has played junk.

What else does an ILB need to do to "stand out" (other than having 100+ tackles and 7 INTs - rare for an ILB - and an instrumental part of 2 season-changing goalline stands)?
ND's overall schedule is every bit as good as anyone else's. They played the 8th, 9th, 16th, and 20th ranked teams according to Sagarin.

without him, a&m is a.500 team at best. tebow was deserving after finishing the 2007 regular season with 3 losses & 6th in the sec, so is manziel.

Yes, Manziel has an argument as both the best player in the nation and the player that's most important to his team.

Manziel padded his stats against teams that suck. And of course his stats sucked when he played elite teams. But he deserves the Heisman? I don't buy it.

Te'o didn't do shite against USC. As a MLB, 5 total tackles, 3 solo and 2 assist. 1 pick that went straight into his chest.
In fact, Te'o did nothing remarkable aside from the picks this year, which were arguably very lucky (mostly on deflections or in zone coverage). Zero forced fumbles, one recovery. Zero touchdowns. 1.5 sacks all year.
Time to debunk his case.

Klein I could maybe see the argument for, but I don't get it for Te'o. The stats and big plays just aren't there to support him the way they have been for any other defensive player that has ever been in the discussion. It sure seems purely because he's a Notre Dame player and cause he made a play right after the tragedy that struck him earlier in the year that his name is always brought up.
I think Manziel has shown that he is one of best players in college football this year. Broke the records of former heisman winners in what people call the toughest conference, beat the team that people call the best team, and wasn't completely crap in the losses (though not overly special in them).
Klein's name died when they got killed by Baylor. This is going to come down to those that (A) refuse to vote for a freshman, which is stupid and (B) those that will vote for Te'o cause he plays for Notre Dame and the media tells them to do so. Not saying those are the only votes that will go either way, but there's not much "shitty reasoning" that swings votes Manziel's way instead of Te'o's (looks funny).

Kleins numbers aren't nearly as good as JFF's and he has played much worse defenses.

I have nothing against him personally. Like you said, he's the leader of a very very good defense and he's a great LB. Let's not forget he also has two first rounders on his defensive line.
People acting like he's as dominant a defensive player as guys like Willis, Suh, or Fairley are clowns.
He's very arguably not even the best LB in the country this year.

Heisman doesnt always go to the *best* player. If it did, Johnny Manziel wouldnt be projected to win. Unless of course you think Johnny Manziel is going to be a #1 pick someday? And if so, LOL at you.
