You realize the Bucs have a few more games to lose, right?

a) Almost impossible to catch up with the Falcons
b) A Bucs loss gives us some leeway to lose a game (just not to them)

Less of a chance to pass Atlanta.

You can't just count on them to lose.

We need to pass the Bucs. Right? Why assume they are just going to lose. We need to get in this!

We aren't winning the division barring an epic collapse by ATL. Bucs aren't making the playoffs. We take care of things and beat the Bucs again, we will be fine.

Uhhhh because Atlanta is 9-1 and the Bucs are 6-4.

You really expect Atlanta to basically lose the rest of their games?

I agree. We will pass the bucks. If the division is not locked up then I want to win it.

Can't be so sure. I'll be rooting for the bucs to lose from here on out.

They still have the Broncos, Pats, Dolphins, and Redskins left on the schedule. They could easily go 0-4 in those games.

Our chances of getting/staying ahead of the Bucs is much greater than our chances of winning the division. Pretty easy.

Because we will beat them. If we don't, then we probably aren't making the playoffs anyways.

I can easily see 2-2 there.

And look at the Broncos right now struggling with the Chiefs.. You just can't count on that stuff IMO.

I don't have time to explain math and probabilities to you. Just trust us. It's better for us if Atlanta wins today

How about we just take care of business and we'll be fine

It would be nice to have a little leeway.. And it's possible.

No I get the math and probabilities, just not the logic of rooting for our most hated rival

I will always root for the Falcons to lose, but if they win and it helps us, I won't be as mad that they won.

Honestly, the only game that we absolutely need to be rooting for a team to lose is Seattle.

The Tampa and Minnesota games can go either way and we would still be fine.

The way the Bucs website has the schedule laid out is fricked. Preseason games show up after the regular season.

They play Broncos, Eagles, us, Rams, then Falcons.

I see 2-3 maybe 3-2 there
