(Posted on 11/24/12 at 5:40 pm) So my family (husband and sons)is squabbling ... some say that YES there is and the others of course say no. Could have happened last year with Georgia winning the SEC and LSU/Bama being ranked #1 and #2 and facing off in the title game.

(Posted on 11/24/12 at 5:43 pm to tiger91) I read the BCS guidelines the other day for some clarification on that exact issue. What I made from it was that the only exception is if 2 teams from the same conference play in the title game and neither wins the conference. I guess last year would of been a example with a chance. UGA beats LSU in the SEC Championship, but Bama and LSU finish #1/#2 in the BCS.
