An American Spring?

What level pf protests would it take in the United States for a "regime change" to happen here (Congress or president)?

Or is the U S immune to a protest-led change?

I laughed, but admit we are too damned "entertained" for a large enough mass of people to assemble as "one" to rise to the level of revolution in America. That is not to say that civil unrest more for personal gain(think Katrina shopping sprees) are not possible anywhere in the nation under the right causality or circumstance.

Don't have to 'change' the regime, WB. States can just choose to ignore (un-Constitutional) mandates on the basis of the Tenth Amendment. Just have to be ready to assume self sufficiency; which is what will be the ultimate outcome of economic collapse and 'regime change' anyway.

The Truth of Numbers and Natural Law runs the show...sooner or later. If you're looking for Justice (not mercy)...that's where it is. Mercy is found in the realm of the Spirit, and in the hands of Jesus. Though I'm sure the Commies think that their ideology is the secular verision of *real* mercy...minus the justice part.

To your OP...yeah...if upon collapse, Obama moves to take the stuff that a lot of the Red places have saved up, for what they believe is an imminent collapse...then there will be *Spring*.

If, for example, the national debt leads ditching the dollar internationally as the currency of choice and the dollar collapses causing out of control inflation, millions take to the streets and protest.

These aren't Tea Party pick up all the trash when you leave protests. Or Occupy shite on Police cars and smoke weed protests. These are Middle East level protests. Even the 60s had mostly contained protests.

Special election?

Will Egypt get that now of the moderates who lost shut down the country?

The first event after the demise of the dollar would be what I said earlier but based upon self survival. Urban areas would turn into the biggest clusterfricks in no time at all.

In case you haven't noticed it, "Democracy" was founded upon a litle revolution in this nation, and since then has become an oligarchy headquartered in DC. As I sid earlier we are too entertained for a revolution, which is desired by our "leaders and BETTERS" in fact. The collapse of the dollar will not be the advent of a new revolution, it will the gates of hell opening up as people will fight to survive. People die already in this nation over fricking tennis shoes and trinkets, what do you think is the effect when it is over food will be? There is w whole lot of "news" about civil and racial discord in thid nation that goes to the last page of the classifieds as far as being reported is concerned across this nation. What the media considers the "sexy shit" is what gets out.

Democracy works, corruption doesn't and will play out throughout the next year or so. Cry babies got their way. When the false promises don't pan out for the libs what next? Go from killing their own to attacking good hard working people? I for one pity them and pray for them every day.

wavebreaker and CITWIT, you do realize that you guys sound like characters in in a bad made for TV movie, right?

There will be no revolution in the streets. shite the majority of the people voted in the current administration. It's just that the two of you and a few others on this board are so convinced of the righteousness of your point of view, and inevitably dire consequences resulting from the fact that the majority of voters disagreeing with you, that unmitigated, irreversible disaster awaits the nation. Sort of sounds like delusions of grandeur.

LBJ decided to not run for reelection during the 60s chaos. He was facing primary challenges as an incumbent.

Nixon resigned for office amid scandal prior to impeachment. Clinton weathered his impeachment.

Would take a massive economic meltdown 1000% inflation to melt down a democracy.

We're debating the Civil War, discovery of aliens, etc on this board. Not sure how this conversation is on in incongruous to the poli board's normal levels of bs.

Much more likely to see OWS type protests from the govt not doing enough than to see a revolution from the govt doing too much.

Ever heard about the fact that the blacks of St. Louis pretty much run the public transportation systems at night, they either bet or kill non-blacks? Ever heard about 800 member black motorcycle gangs in the same town terrorizing the interstates at night oh reasonable hack. Stick to getting your news from the leftist MSM and you never will hear disparaging news as we have a post racial Messiah in office to protect. Another thing you didn't NOTICE, I didn't say there would be a revolution, I SAID RIOTS asshat when the train runs off the tracks.

Why not just wait four years for regime change and stop being butt hurt your side lost the election. You don't even have to wait that long in two years you change a lot of stuff.
get ready............
A whole lot ARE, buck. Beck has become a media sensation on that very subject of preparedness; not rocket science.

Those like the Obama Phone Lady...don't even have a clue. Folks like Vor...smart, but stuck in Beck's 'normal' syndrome - for whatever reason - can't deal with the possibility and just sit on their hands.

When the interest rates start to go up, for all the *investment* (borrowing/printing)...down goes the Collectivist illusion. And Obama Phone Lady goes rogue; and ends up in V's lap!

Good luck!

Go War Eagles!

Protesting is a branded and framed thing thanks to our brainwashing.

Protesting will never do anything in this country.

An economic collapse is the only thing that would cause enough chaos and riot to get a regime change.
