Looking to do some beaver hunting. What's a middle of the road brand and what would I look at spending for a night scope?

What do you mean middle of the road? Our middles could be very different. Give me a price range and I'll tell you the best brand for said range.

Yep^^^

There are some companies that may rent out a thermal scope to you but most of them cost 3 times as much as a middle-grade AR15.

And for a decent starter AR15 in the ~$1000 price range...

Bushmaster
DPMS
Rock River Arms
Smith and Wesson

You can get a PSA M4 for less than $700. Much higher quality than Bushmaster or DPMS.

You and I have very similar taste. You can get a very high end rifle for that much. I build custom rifles and sell them, and I have one right now that I could sell you. If youre not interested, check out Noveske. They make incredible rifles, and their work is flawless. I used Noveske parts on my most recent build, and it is easily my finest work.

Also checkout LWRC and Knight Armament. Great rifles as well.

Shoot me an email if you have any questions

Essential Arms AR. Made in Louisiana. No idea on the night scope though.

For me...

This dude knows his shite and you should def get your info from him.

I have a friend with an LWRC M6 and it is an amazing AR. It is a piston-driven system so it runs very clean and can run all day.

If you want to make a bigger boom, you should check out the LWRC REPR. It's an AR10 platform and is a bit heavier but it's also slinging out a .308 round.

Thanks man

Bapple knows his shite as well, OP. Great all around knowledge.

That REPR is downright nasty. Always wanted one.
