I think so. Obama was hard to vote out cause he is a pop icon of sorts. The voting was far away from political issues IMO. We'll see true colors next time that candidates of the same demographic run.

The country is center right, and some of the minorities hold to the right with regards to moral issues. If you think that the black and hispanic vote will slip back to 2000 levels without a minority candidate, you are mistaken. I think that the talk about asking for Obama's birth certificate pushed most out of the Republican's reach. I think the voting trends in 2012 are the new normal.

Disagree, I really feel as though the GOP went backwards on a number of issues in the primary and Romney couldn't shake it.

I can agree with this too a point. Obama had 6 million less voters and Romney had nearly the identical number of votes as McCain.
