The scenario that makes the 2007 BCSNCG selection after the Arkansas game look..

like a lock.
1. Auburn returns the favor and poisons the Alabama team Friday night meal with some bad chicken. Auburn wins 17-13.
2. Florida State beats Florida in a sloppy game 16-13.
3. Oregon State catches Oregon feeling sorry for themselves and upsets the Ducks 38-34.
4. Texas rolls K-State in 2 weeks. Knocking them out of the BCSNCG a second time 34-27.
5. LSU crushes Arkansas and Texas A&M crushes Missouri.
6. LSU enters the SECCG #3 in the BCS with Georgia #2. LSU whips the Dogs 31-13.
7. LSU vs ND in the BCSNCG.
Jimbo cries because his team scheduled Murray State and Savannah State, which kills his computer score along with a horrific ACC schedule, as they finish 3rd in the final regular season BCS standings.

Nah.
FSU's average computer ranking right now is #18. It's keeping the down now, and would not rise enough to pass us in the standings. The human pollsters would have to put them #1 ahead of an undefeated Notre Dame for them to secure the #2 spot in the final rankings.

I wish that could occur, but Notre Dame would have to be annihilated by USC this weekend to drop out of a guaranteed spot in that scenario.

Oddly enough this is possible. The only difference is that I think LSU could get in without playing in the SEC Championship, and to me the only impossibility in this entire scenario is Alabama losing to Auburn.
FSU beating Florida: Highly likely
USC beating Notre Dame: Highly likely
Texas beating KSU: Likely
Oregon St beating Oregon:possible
Assuming LSU destroys Arky, which I believe they will, LSU would play the winner of Alabama UGA.
What would be sweet justice would be UGA beating Bama, and LSU getting the nod over Bama due to Bama losing 2 out of its last 4 games.

I'm not sure I'd go highly likely here with Barkley out.....I'd say mildly possible at best.

I can agree to that. My thinking is that the scenarios that are left, that could put LSU in Miami are less far fetched than what we saw this past weekend. These are all very good matchups that could go either way, and last week we watched an unranked and under .500 Baylor roll KSU by 4 scores.

All we need is for Bama to Loose, which is not likely. The rest would take care of itself.

Agreed. They would have beaten the Gator team that defeated LSU, albeit when the Tigers were physically handicapped and most believe LSU would whip the Gators handily now.
