This will go on until Obama appoints a clone will be lock step with his lack of attention to detail on foreign policy and clandestine operations.

That's not really saying the WH is disagreeing with the CIA.

Talking points are produced and then run through the interagency processes. At any point in that process someone could have altered them. Eventually everyone in the interagency would agree on them.

Personally if I had to guess I would think either the NSC or another part of the intelligence apparatus struck that line. The NSC is part of the white house, though it is not oval office which is also referenced in the article. If the NSC did make changes though, it is wrong to say the white house did not make changes but it is correct to say the oval office did not make changes. But again this is just me speculating.

Can it, newbie. The CIA is about to take the president down...just like in them there Oliver Stone movies.

Perhaps we should restrict internet access.

My bad. I do have a question though with all of these right wing sites all over this story, which one gets to be the crusading outsider who helps take down the president. You are after all only allowed one.

It'll be Hannity or Redstate or the White House Insider or the Wall Street Insider.

Or Rush, or the Examiner. Or "Unskewed Media Narratives" (I made that one up, I think).

CIA and WH have beaten back Republicans rather easily on Bengahzi.

ETA: The only thing the Republicans have done is derail Susan Rice as SoS IMO

I actually think it has made it more likely she will be Secretary of State. Her main qualification over someone like Kerry is that Obama really likes her. With everyone attacking her I think he is going to double down to defend her.

Further when it comes to a vote, the republicans are going to look like idiots for objecting to her because she repeated talking points that were either the best information the intelligence community had, or talking points that were changed by someone other than Rice herself.

I think it is very useful for Obama to be able to make the republicans look unreasonable especially over a battle he will ultimately win. That will make it easier for him in battles that he isn't in as strong of position to win because he can point to republicans unreasonableness in this case.

Check out her Rwanda memos during the Clinton Administration. She purposely refused to use the word "genocide" to describe Rwanda. Very politically motivated move that resembles Benghazi. It would be a messy nomination that would turn off even liberal supporters IMO.

I can't wait to see the high tech lynching of this fine African American female who has never done anything worthy of question or criticism during her professional career. According to Obama, she has a 1.000 batting average. She is less qualified for a high level position in the State Department than John Bolton was. The Democrats haven't got a leg to stand on if the Republicans oppose her nomination to any position that requires Senate confirmation.

I think you mean she is less qualified for office than Obama is

Nobody gives a crap about a fake fight you are making up between the WH and CIA. They are basically on the same page. Patraues gave them cover its time to move on.

Always believed the CIA was involved in the assination of JFK as a payback for denying air cover to the Cuban Freedom Fighters at the Bay of Pigs debacle. If I were BHO I would be very cautious about engaging in any CIA bashing.
