| Louisiana Police Pension (Posted on 11/16/12 at 10:13 am)
They let some idiot retired cops basically run a billion dollar pension, needless to say they lost hundreds of millions of dollars in bad investments like buying golf courses. They were taking "fact finding trips" to Pebble beach and Scotland spending hundreds of thousands of dollars of the pension fund flying around first class and staying in 5 star hotels. I am wondering why these guys aren't being investigated for fraud and theft?

Don't even look into the District Attorney's (DARP) then - from a per capita basis, they can buy and sell the cops....3 times.

The trustees were led by Bossier City Police Captain Bill Fields, a Corvette-driving former pawn shop owner who chaired the pension’s golf-course committee, and its vice chairman, Willie Joe Greene, a retired captain from nearby Keithville. Fields, now 58 and retired, and Greene, 73, declined requests to comment for this story.

I was wondering about the former officers who were taking trips to Pebble Beach and Scotland, living high on their fellow retired police officers money? I thought the FBI was looking into it?

Years ago(75-7) half maybe a bit more of the Thibodaux police force was fired and tried for burglary. They hit practically every business in the city, except restaurants.
