Back in early October, I missed a 150" 9 point that I thought was at 32 yards but was just over 40. Ten minutes after l missed, my buddy missed a 135" 9 point. Last week, my dad hunted the same stand I missed in and had a 145" 9 point that we have pics of at 15 yards at full draw and a coyote ran him off. He came back 10 minutes later but never in range. This is all in Natchez. Today, my dad is in Illinois and missed a 165" at 45 yards. Two hours later a full blown booner that will score in the 180's comes to 30 yards and the doe he was chasing caught him drawing his bow! Needless to say, we can't wait for the rifles to restore order. It should be the best season we've ever had and its been the worst! Hopefully we can get it done soon.

Instead of being depressed you should be pumped about the opportunities and potential for success. Count your blessings you can be in the woods and enjoy the encounters because you and I never know what life has in store for us.
