certainly the run game will be second fiddle and be a complement to the passing game as long as Brees is at the helm.

But ya know how often it is said a ground n pound attack is needed to play keep away from an offense like ours? This year I've been saying we need not more ground n pound for that but to keep our defense off the field as much as possible.

The running game is super important.

The better the running game is, the better the passing game is. Drew is better than anyone at play-action. When we get the rushing attack rolling this offense is a machine. They go hand in hand.

Y'all can discredit the running game all you want, but without it, even the almighty saints offense sputters. If you lack balance, you become one dimensional and cannot win games especially with a subpar defense. The sole reason we have come to life is the run. With the defense still finding its way, our ability to run the ball has given our passing game new life. It has allowed us to sustain drives and win some time of possession battles which are critical to maintaining leads and finishing games.

this right here. When this offense is balanced, it is a marvelous sight.

That's how a normal team would salt away a victory.

That being said, with this defense, I think we are getting too conservative on offense at the end of games. Three running plays when we are up by ten points is what most teams should do. But with this defense, we need our offense to stay on the field and keep the hammer down all game long.

Keep all four active, bench Cadet again. Ingram is running pretty well lately too, can't keep him on the bench.
