Registering Firearms on hunt on WMAs

Someone from back home (La) told me the WMAs started requiring you to register your weapon to hunt on there. I've never hunted on a WMA so I don't know...is this something new or has it always been that way since when??

You have to fill out a form at a self clearing station for yourself, when you enter and leave, but not anything for your gun.

Better fil it out. If in doubt, fill it out anyhow. it is $$$ if they check you and you do not hae it. it is easy money for them.
