| Will seccesion take all the Red states? (Posted on 11/13/12 at 11:39 am)
That would be much more significant than just some southern tier states. just askin'.

Were it to really happen a lot of states would look at who else was going and follow. I think it would be a domino effect...

That would be nuts to see a decisive split of the red and blue states. The swing states would be interesting though, might be akin to when Britain made India Hindu and Afghanistan Muslim.

Would you kindly look at a dictionary before typing the word? Most it not all of my typos are byway of keystroke failure.

I'm pretty sure every state has laws of succession. Why, did you recently lose a relative?

Lots of secession talk ahead of perceived anti-slavery elements being elected to power in the mid-1800s. Lots of secession talk during and after the Civil Rights of the mid-1900s. Good thing I believe in coincidences. Otherwise, I'd be disappointed.

One of the biggest hurdles to secession is race. As soon as any state becomes serious about secession, every opponent will start bringing up slavery and try to insinuate that the people who want to secede are racist and want to bring back slavery or segregation. No amount of reason will be able to fight the almighty race card. Won't happen. Never will. No way. No how.

Um did you read some of the comments from last week when talks about secession was brought up?? Might want to go back and read em. When you have a few people bringing up certain things, what do you expect.

I'm happy implying that there's a racial element to it. Doubt you want to bring back slavery, but I wouldn't put segregation past you.

Yes, a dumb fricking secessionist wants to talk reason. I'm standing by.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. The opposition will find the retards and put them up as examples of what the secession movement is actually about. It worked with the Tea Party movement and will continue to work forever and ever. Every group has idiots and reason will always lose as long as the opposition can point to those idiots and say "See, that's what these people are like!!".
