From what I understand, this is the order of preference. Confirmed that Tennessee has contacted the first 4 through intermediaries.

I don't get why Jim Leavitt's name isn't showing up more for the bigger jobs out there.... dude's resume is 2nd to none (with the possible exception of Petrino, but he's not a realistic option for most programs).
He's got some baggage, but USF settle with him which suggests he was let go w/o just cause.

I seriously doubt it will be Tressel. It will likely be one of the first four.

Agreed. After Pearl's issues and then the Kiffin debacle I don't see UT going after him. I think they want someone with a squeaky clean image in regards to the NCAA.

Not only the 5 games suspension, but the NCAA will have clause to look at the athletic program as a whole.
Tressel is a great coach, not worth the trouble to have Indy snooping around.

I think Patterson is the best choice on the list, albeit he's going to Hog country from what i've heard. Gonna be a big pickup for where ever he goes
