Confirmed tonight that Dooley will not return. Announcement will come a week from Monday if Tennessee loses to Vandy. If Vols win next week, the announcement will come after UK game.

Hart wants to give players chance at making bowl, but no scenario in which Dooley returns or coaches bowl.

Will the next coach get to keep the sweet orange pants?

This has been reported all season from different sources in Vol media, but after some of the stupid decisions in this last game I dont see how they could possibly keep him.

Is everyone still saying Gruden to be the coach or have they back off of that? I've been searching around to see what names are coming up about the HC job, but all I ever see is Gruden, can any Vol fan tell me who the fan base wants if Gruden isn't an option?

Why did Al Golden ever accept that Miami job in the first place. And then why did he decide to stay when he could've jumped ship?

Really fricked up his career, unless he's banking on long-term job security with Miami's inability to avoid sanctions.

I think he got a raw deal in Miami, and I bet he could win more than Dooley has. Just trying to think of coaches besides Gruden. I totally made that up BTW but you knew that

Do u think Vols would go after bama's DC, Kirby Smart? I don't know if he is even interested in being a head coach, but seems like if he wants to... Now would be a good time.

Hiring another coach with Saban ties would piss a ton of people off. I don't see it happening, but if it does I will melt down.

Not going to leave until after next year if he does, which i doubt. He's got a young team and a lot of returning starters.

This is not a surprise anymore. I though if they finishe 4-0 to end the season that he would be retained, but after yesterday I would not be surprised if they can him.
Replacements? Gruden won't consider it, but I could see Petrino being interested. Al Golden, meh....
Charlie Strong's rep has to take a hit losing to Syracuse badly.
