Does the ONLINE appear under your username if you don't fully log out? I never press sign out since I'm the only one who gets on TD on my laptop.
If the ONLINE icon doesn't disappear after my browser is closed, I've been technically ONLINE for about 6 months now.

If you don't refresh for 20 minutes, you are logged out.

I know you are in the admin crowd, but this doesn't sound right. If there was a timeout, you would have to log in when you returned, which is not true. Maybe that's your admin account, which makes sense.

you stay logged in on your browser if you don't clear cookies
but after 20 minutes inactivity you no longer show up on TD itself as logged on
