Is the show "Moonshiners" real?

Last night on the season premiere they showed two guys building an underground still beneath a stage that apparently hosts an annual festival. If any sheriff knows where that is located, why wouldn't the catch them? Even if it is after the fact. Why would they labor for 2 years building it only to reveal it's location on national television?

I looked up interviews and one of the characters suggested that his activity may have been filmed years ago beyond the statute of limitations.

What are your opinions?

A lot of these garbage shows on TV aren't real.....Dog the Bounty Hunter is a prime example. I think Moonshiners is fake garbage as well.

it says in the credits it's a dramatization of actual moonshiners
